The answers here so far have been excellent. I'm sure you're asking this question because of what anti-Mormons have said we believe. As you can see, this is another one of their lies. It is not Mormon doctrine that God had intercourse with Mary. (Most of the scandalous doctrines anti-Mormons claim we believe are crafted lies to paint us in a poor light.)

Well you got three people here.

Mary
Holy Ghost
God the Father (Elohim)

Since God the Father is a Glorified Resurrected and Immortal Person, he couldnt touch Mary but Holy Ghost guy could.

So Elohim when into the clinic and had a specimen taken. He then gave this specimen to Holy Ghost guy who had a syringe.

Holy Ghost guy takes his Syringe and Specimen, and pays Mary a visit and deposits the specimen in the right spot.

Mary Gets Prego with the Son of God. It's all above board, no Adultry, No Intercourse, Intact Hymen...

2000 years ago it may have been a bizarre story. But if God is the smart dude we think he is, and we as a human race have gotten smarter and can do the same thing as I just decribed nowadays. Why couldn't God do the same and twist all our minds.

Mary was a Virgin when she gave birth to Jesus.

Jesus is the Biological son of God but pregnancy did not occur through intercourse.

The only good explanation I have found is that it was done through the Holy Ghost.

Anyway I figure if God can cure the blind and raise the dead -- even from great distances -- So God did not need intercourse to give Mary the baby.

I don't know much, but I do know in 1 Nephi 11, Nephi describes a vision of his. He sees Mary before the birth and describes her as a virgin. Then he sees her holding the baby Jesus and again calls her a virgin. So it seems to me that there was no sexual intercourse.

I don't think even Mary knew, as it was such an event that she had to be overshadowed by the Holy Ghost in order to survive it (in her mind at least).

I don't know. The Bible is not very clear on that point.
