I got a couple answers on my last question that led me to this. This is specifically for those who believe once saved always saved. If someone claims to have been saved in the past and yet they now live like the most vile sinner. They do not go to church, don't pray, curse God's name. You know what I mean. They have turned their back on God. Would you say they are still saved? Or would you say they were never saved in the first place?

I would say that they never were "genuinely" saved.
The Bible declares that a true Christian will not live a continually immoral lifestyle (1 John 3:6). The Bible declares that anyone who departs the faith is demonstrating that he/she never truly was a Christian (1 John 2:19).

I think you're missing the entire point of OSAS doctrine and what's behind it, i.e. love and grace. By thinking of mankind as neutral before the Lord, you're coming up with an entirely different concept of salvation by force. OSAS means guilt, and the need for a savior, not choosing God off a menu or being force-fed if you choose the wrong item! "If not, then how can you state that a person cannot lose their salvation?" This is possible only if you take away COMPLETELY man's ability to look to God for salvation. Someone would have to hold you all through your life that way, and a loving Father would do that. Through the toughest times, Christians have hope. Rely on yourself, as Peter did when called to walk on the water, and you sink like a rock. "If a person later rejects Christ as their Lord and savior, will God force them to go to heaven?" We have a sin nature within us. That nature would reject God in a heartbeat save for a tremendous love that won't let us go. The love of Christ is a wonderful blessing and gift, not a commodity you get to ponder over like a classified ad.

I would say never saved in the first place based on 1 John where it says "anyone born of God cannot sin (deliberately) because of God's seed in him. Born again is much like being conceived and born in the natural only it's of the spirit. People who "confess Jesus' with their mouth but did not believe in their heart that is like God's word meeting with an Unfertile Soul and there can be no conception and no born again experience. Many are deceived about this very issue.

God is more merciful that you or I could ever wish to be, more forgiving than we can possibly imagine. Based on the attributes of God, his love, kindness, and so forth, I would say that once you are saved, you are His.

However, as Christians, we are expected to glorify Him. One is cursing, committing adultery, etc., is in no way glorifying God.

I would say that they were not saved to begin with. Based on the Bible, walking with Christ will change you. I certainly know it has me. I cannot imagine that one who is truly saved, and who has truly put their faith in the Lord and is indwelled with the Holy Spirit could do those things. That's not to say we are now perfect, far from it, but I know my own sin sickens me, especially when I manage to do something really stupid. :)

Does that make sense?

God belss.

Never saved in the first place, as it says in 1 John 2:19:

They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.

I always look to Galations 5:17-21,
For my answer to the "Always Saved" Belief.

Its all in the individual interpretation if I was filled with with the Spirit and fell a way and was doing those things Listed in Galations 5:17-21 Could I have inherited the Kingdom of God?
This is such a touchy subject all I have to say is if you believe in Jesus and All the Truths that surround Him in His Life,Death and Resurrection,I guess we would get or answers When The Lord reveals it or when we Die.
Believe what you want this is what gets other beliefs and non get turned away from the belief of His Existence.
----------------------------------------------------------
I was filled with the Spirit and was naive as a teen and had a Stumbling Block in front of me and was decieved so My Belief is Yes, I fell away- fornication, lived wickedly, played with ouji boards and all that sort of nonsense- so if I died could I have went to hell??

Once saved you are saved BECAUSE when God saves you, it's the end of the world.

This false premise that "you were saved in the past" is bogus and stupid. Nobody was saved in the past. Salvation is on the Day of Judgment on the second coming of Christ where salvation of the chosen will take place.

For the love of God, read your Bible.

O.K., in the Bible, there is an Example of Christians who backslide into Sin (but didin't lose their Salvation).
The Bible Says they were Worse then when they got Saved.

The Bible says that GOD is MARRIED to the BackSlider---their Still going to Heaven.

I would say "They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us, they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us." 1John 2:19 I would say, "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God’s seed remains in him; he cannot go on sinning, because he has been born of God." 1John 3:9
