Our dog just had a fecal test done and a lot of fat was present.
He is also a little overweight.
What is the best brand for low fat?
Can or dry?
My vet said that Beneful was high in fat content and that is what we were giving him.
Is Ol Roy (Walmart brand) a good choice? I was told that Ol Roy is made by Pedigree brand with just an Ol Roy label on it.
Which do you recommend?
Dry, Wet, what brand?

Ol'Roy is one of the worst foods you can feed your dog. Getting him on a good dry food is your best bet -- Innova, Canidae, Timberwolf Organics. Wet is okay only as a treat mixed in with dry, doesn't have much nutritional value anyways.

Anything you can buy at Petco or Petsmart is not good for your dog!!! They have the foods I mentioned above at Pet Supplies Plus stores and you can use their store locaters to find other places that sell it near you.

Purina One is a good brand. It is healthy and it helps their coat! I would not reccomend Ol Roy or wet food for a meal. Wet food does not have very many nutrients in it and it will more than likely make your dog fatter. Good Luck!

Whatever you do stay away from Alpo/Purina wet dog food!!! You should feed dry dog food with chicken broth to mix it up so the dog doesn't get bored. Our vet told us this!

Never feed your dog Ol roy. Ol roy is poop!

Feed like Nutro or Purina.

Purina one is good atleast its alot better than Ol roy.

Pedigree is nasty.

Feed your dog dry food.

Wet food will make your dog overweight. because it has more water in it then dry.

I feed mine Purina One and they are healthy.
