'Original sin' is a way of ensuring that all the followers of the religion feel bad from birth.
And people who feel they are sinners are easier to control than free people.
If you felt free no one could demand you to pay tribute to the 'church' and the priests and no one would have this bad feeling all the time.

The concept of Original Sin simply states that because Adam and Eve sinned (ate from the tree of knowledge and then had sex) in the Garden of Eden, they brought Death into the world. Every human being dies because Adam and Eve committed a sin, and for their sin, all humans are punished with death. However, the Bible describes something entirely different. Adam and Eve were kicked out of the Garden of Eden because if they remained, they could eat the fruit of the Tree of Life, which would make them IMmortal. If Adam and Eve had to eat the fruit of the Tree of Life to become IMmortal, then they were created mortal to begin with. They did not bring Death into the world, and we don't die because they sinned. As a matter of Biblical fact, the answer to Question One shows that one person cannot die as the punishment for the sins committed by another. We die because Death is a natural part of existence, and has been since from the moment the first human beings were created. That is why God told the animals, before Adam and Eve ate the fruit from The Tree Of The Knowledge Of Good And Evil, to be fruitful and to multiply, since they needed to replace themselves. God also told the same thing to Adam and Eve before they ate that fruit as well.

The essence of all sin is rebellion against God's authority. The motivator is pride, thinking ourselves wise enough to not need the wisdom of our Creator to make moral decisions. Satan's temptation to Adam & Eve was an appeal to pride, "you shall be as gods," he told them. It has been called "original sin" since Augustine's time, because the whole human race, because it infected not only Adam and Eve, but all their children, up to and including us, putting all of us under condemnation, until we are forgiven by Jesus.
Incidentally, the whole point of the sacrificial system created under Moses was to show that there can indeed be a substitute offered for the life of a sinner. On the Day of Atonement, the sins of the people were symbolically laid on the head of the scapegoat, which was killed for those sins. Yes, Jesus was the realization of that symbolism, and only He could do it, precisely because He was one of us, under the guilt of the curse of our original sin, yet perfect in innocence, and therefore able to accept God’s punishment on our behalf.

Disobedience to The Almighty God in the first respect. Adam and Eve eating the forbidden fruit, hence mans downfall...although I have that belief from my own religion too..we're not taught that ,that sin is inherited down the line from generation to generation.

I always wondered why Eve's disobedience would lead to all innocent babies thereafter to be born with original sin. I never understood the reasoning for it, it really makes no sense. But I can see how it would increase membership in the religion, since parents of new born children will be scared into getting their children baptized as soon as possible.

there is no such element as total depravity. That grow to be invented via John Calvin. regardless of unique sin, there is adequate grace left in the soul of people to decide for to do sturdy, and decide to have faith in God. If we are completely wicked, shall we not try this. Matrimony grow to be instituted in the previous the autumn, and it has constantly been holy, and did not go through the end results of the autumn, making it a different sacrament, and disproving Calvins invention. there is likewise the organic regulation it particularly is written on each and every persons heart. people instinctivly be conscious of that specific issues are incorrect and specific issues are sturdy. Killing is misguided no remember what faith (or no faith) you preserve on with. people decide for to harden their ethical experience to commit evil acts. because of the fact evil exists would not recommend that God willed it.

Original sin came about when Eve ate from the tree of knowledge of good and evil that god told her not to eat from. Since then anyone born has original sin.

To disobey the order of God, or not to serve God. Just like some servant, he tries that "Why I am serving this master? Why not become a master." The, sometimes psychologically it comes. So similarly, when the living entity,us—we are eternally part and parcel of God; to serve God, that is our real position—but when we thinks that "Why I shall serve God? I shall enjoy myself," that is the beginning of falldown. That is the original sin.

Well I don't believe in Original Sin- I believe that we are born perfect and are accountable for our own actions.
I believe that the original sin is not so much eating the apple as it was disobedience to the father. He commanded them not to partake of the fruit- they did it anyway. It was their defiance that is considered the original sin.

The original sin was taking to themselves the God prerogative, deciding for themselves what was good and what was evil. It was an early form of the idea of cheap grace.
