aww, she loves you. she'll get over it tho. just ignore her while she follows you around. a lot of pups do this.. keep in mind shes still kind of a baby. after walking into enough walls and enough kicks to the head she'll probably keep her distance.

oh yea, and keep up her training. pups need their minds to be stimulated. it helps with manners, maybe check out some obedience training. most people suggest a trainer, but i dont unless you are working on something much bigger than good manners.

Pick up a book on training, its just simple psychology.

Edit:

as for the age they become less clingy, it really varies. i dont know much about poms, and i raise pits who dont tend to have that problem as much. around 5 or six months they decide they are gonna do what they wanna do(within limits of the rules i have set).

but yea, just keep up training and pay no attention when she follows.

someone before me said teach them stay. if she already knows it, continue working on it.. slowly shell get to where you can sit her down and make her stay till you are done doing what you are doing.

good luck

Well she is young. She wants to be with you. To make sure your safe and she's safe. Write a schedule when your going to be doing laundry, dishes, etc.. Whenever your going to do something that she will be in the way, put her in her crate, outside, etc.. She will soon learn the schedule. When you play with her teach her down and stay.
To teach her down, simply follow these directions:
Put her into a sitting position. ( put the treat above her head and move it away from you. This will cause her to sit. )
Then Start putting the treat down to the ground, but while your doing this, push it tward her. Do this about 5 times. Then add down, lie, lie down, etc.. While your doing it. But only say it once she hits the ground.

Follow these steps to learning stay:
Put her into a sitting position or a down position. Take one step back with your hand like a stop sign. Then say stay. This may take some time.

Once she learns these steps, take it to the test. Let her out when your going to do somthing. Say sit and stay ( or down and stay )

Before you do this, practice by holdiing a couple clothes orsomthing. Then test it before.

I hope this works. If i have any new ideas i will surly let you know (: Good luck!

I noticed that small dogs are usually like this. My dog is small and is aalmost eight. He is always underfoot and won't stop following my mom around. I guess its because they love you and in the wild, wolves follow each other as a pack. Theres really nothing you can do but be happy that your dog loves you so much!

That's a pom for ya. They love people and want to be with them all the time. You may want to put her in a room and put up a kiddy gate, when you are doing things and are afraid you may trip over her and hurt her or get hurt yourself.

Ok one of my poms is 7 and he's still doing it! I don't know how many times I've stepped on him, but he still follows me around and is constantly under foot. My husband thinks it's because the dog is in control and sees me as his female, although he stepped on him many times at night going to the bathroom. I need Cesar Millan as much as you! ;)

It may take 500 times for her to get the idea that she is in the way. She will get stepped on, kicked, knocked around & hurt before she learns to stay out of the way. But, she will learn.
