Have you tried Clinique superbalm lip treatment or Manuka honey lip balm?

Dry or chapped lips occur as a result of very dry skin on the lips. Dry skin results when the moisture content of the skin is reduced. Lips that are chapped may show the following qualities; roughness, dryness, redness, peeling, cracking and sensitivity. As a person's lips are often exposed to heat, sunshine, wind or cold air, the lips may become irritated before other parts of the body do.

In many cases chapped lips can be avoided by identifying and then eliminating the cause of the condition. Measures to prevent chapped lips can include the following:

Avoid frequent licking of the lips.
Eliminate any skin care or cosmetic product that may be triggering an allergic reaction.
Avoid unnecessary exposure to cold weather, sun or wind.
Apply lip balm frequently to keep lips soft and moist.

Most of all, don't worry too much!

ok put a layer of vaseline on and let that sit for about 5 minutes. Then get a toothbrush and "brush your lips". Sounds silly i know. But it will get all the dryness off. Then put a layer of good chapstick on. Not like smackers or anything. Then put another thin layer of vaseline on top of that. Repeat that acouple days in a row and you shouldn't have any more problems.

What's mistaken with ingesting water? The most important motive for dry lips/epidermis is dehydration. Just about all of individuals are dehydrated on a daily groundwork and do not even respect it. When you've got been consuming ample water, I promise your lips could be smooth and gentle. However meanwhile, I propose exfoliating them gently with a smooth scrub. They make exfoliant in particular for lips however idk what it's referred to as. Additionally, Burt's Bees has the excessive-first-rate, most strong line of chapsticks and lipbalms. They are pricey however they instead hydrate your lips better than every other manufacturer.

Chapstick in itself is addicting. You can google that. However, vaseline is not good because it is so refined. Use natural oils that will be absorbed into the skin like avocado or olive oil. Your lips will heal. The suggestion of Bert's bees is also good but the oils are the best.

You should try exfoliating once a week with some sugar or a toothbrush. Rub the sugar (or toothbrush) on wet lips to remove dry skin, and then rinse your lips and apply Vaseline or a good conditioning balm.

Blistex DCT (Daily Conditioning Treatment) works wonders as well.

If you can find Herbal Answer chapstick, it works really well. But try this: put on a heavy coating of it before bed. Then it will be on your lips for about seven hours and you won't be licking it off and stuff.

Are you using FLAVORED chapstick? Because that encourages licking your lips--which is an absolute no-no!
Get a small glass jar of "Carmex"--it works well, and the flavor is not appealing enough to cause you to lick it.

I took an acne medicine and had the side effect of chapped lips. My lips were chap everyday. I would peel a layer of skin off of my lips every day. I would kiss my hand and there would be blood. I used claravis and it helped a lot.
