how do I calculate the sales tax for $21,500 with a 7.25 rate? thanks

$21,500.00 x .0725 = $1,558.75

Nothing personal, but it saddens me that people can not figure this out.

21,500 x 7.25% = 1,558.75
if you don't put in the = sign it will give you the 1558.75
if you then press the + it will give you the total price w/ tax
23,058.75

It saddens me also when I see some bascic math problems that young people have not learned in school. No wonder people from Asia and Europe come here and get all the top notch jobs.

Multiply $21,500 by 0.0725.

multiply 21.500 times .0725=$1558.75
