Does he like me?

Is there any reason why a guy would want to spend time with you other than he likes you. Im friends with this guy and whenever i come home from school we always make plans to hang out. Im not sure if he just wants to be friends or he wants to be more. He text me, tells me to call him if anything is going on, knows when somethings wrong, gave me the first cd he ever made, told me that "even though he doesnt show it all that often he thinks im awesome", apoligezes when he is being stupid and knows im mad, does favors for me, helps me with things, tells me things most guys wouldn't say for example he told me he was crying. How can you tell he just hangs around cause were friends oppsed to he likes me? Are we just close friends or does he want more. I dont want to ask him because if he just wants to be friends I dont want to ruin our friendship for asking

if u ask u wont ruin ur friendship he will just say yes or no and if u dont make it awkward by talking or thinking about it it wont b awkward....but from what u said it seems like he really likes u...the things he does and says make it seem like u 2 are already dating...talk to him especially if u like him 2...
