It has the overseas address in as "Home Address". I just need to know whether I can use it over here, whether it is valid and how long I have to use it.

The first answer is right - it is valid for one year only. As soon as you apply for a british license and receive your provisional UK license - this overrides your international one which becomes invalid upon receipt of the provisional and you revert to a learner driver until you pass the uk test xx

Yes it is valid providing it is current, shows your photograph and signature. It would be wise to carry your passport with you in the event you are stopped for anything.
