Bland foods are best /not any spicy or real oily fried things

saltine crackers....mashed potatoes with very little margarine...bread
oatmeal....cherrios...baked turkey.....boiled or baked chicken...maybe cooked pasta...use chicken broth but refrigerate the broth and remove the fat...can boil noodles in that...jello..steamed carrots..plain green beans....try just a little of something to see if it is going to upset your stomach...if it does..don't eat that...the baby food would be best but go for first foods..the older foods can be a little more upsetting for stomachs...
Good luck hope you feel better soon.

Gastritis literally means "inflammation of the stomach."

Depending upon the reason for the gastritis (which is a symptom, not a disease in and of itself) you need to start very slowly and work your way up. Start with what I say to patients "look-through liquids." That means anything that you can put in a glass and see someone on the other side. This means light fruit juices and water (of course). If you feel that you are able to digest these without any complications (after a few days) move on to opaque liquids like darker fruit juices, milk, tomato soup. After waiting a few days and not having any problems, you can have solids that have been heavily processed, such as small amount of noodle soup, fruit smoothies, etc.

From there, build your way up. Everyone has different reactions to foods with gastritis, so you need to pay close attention to what agrees with you. If you have been prescribed medication, you should take it religiously. If you are taking pills and are unable to keep them down, then you need to find another means of taking the medication, such as an IV or patch.

Sorry that you're not feeling well! Most people with gastritis are able to overcome the symptom after several weeks. If you are still experiencing weakness and pain in the stomach, you need to revisit your doctor, as you might have a more serious condition such as Crohn's.

Gastritis is just a fancy name for stomach irritation. There has to be a cause. Yoghurt is nice.
This may sound like a long shot, but see a chiropractor. I have patients all the time who get better with gastric complaints after treatments because their spine is screwed up and affects the function of the stomach and intestines. All the best.

Try stuff which isn't acidic - so cut out tomatoes, fresh orange juice, vinegar. Try some fairly bland foods such as plain rice or pasta and fish.

single grain baby cereal, its not that bad, and if you mix in sweet potatoe baby food, its actually not bad. stay away from anything carbonated, and no red meat...red meat is very hard to process. You might try no sugar pudding, and drink lots of water.
