Oh sure make me do all the work:

KJV 1 John 5:7-8
7 For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one. 8 And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.

NASB 1 John 5:7-8

7 For there are three that testify: 8 the Spirit and the water and the blood; and the three are in agreement.

If i remember correctly the NASB was based on the Alexandrian manuscripts which possibly explains the differences in those verses. Most doctrinal errors are caused by interpetational errors and not translation errors. People have a tendency to take verses out of context to support their beliefs. For example look at all the denominations using KJV, yet there are many differences of doctrines between those denominations. Give them a different translation and they still have different doctrines.

Oldest transcripts ever found of the New Testament support and state the Trinity. One HAS to take the oldest documents as most valid since they trace back to the closet time to the event (in this case less than 100 yrs from the date of Christ's death which is closer than ANY historical document historians say are valid that describe other non biblical ancient events)

Great question, but I really can't answer it. However, since I now know that the KJV was authorized by a "notorious homosexual," I'll have to buy a copy! ; )

The KJV is a corrupt Bible. It only has 66 of the Bible's 72 books, and its erroneous translation supports protestant heresy. It was authorized only in the Anglican Church, which now uses other translations, and the man who authorized it, King James I, was scarcely the well-spring of moral authority (in fact, he was a notorious homosexual). For a critique of the KJV, see D. A. Carson, The King James Version Debate: A Plea for Realism (Grand Rapids: Baker, 1979).
