The bill has been defeated 3 times this year, and this time the yea votes were so close to having cloture passed. Do you think it is likely that cloture will be passed the next time?

I don't even think they wanted it to pass, given how they drafted it and the sneaky way they handled moving it forward. That is no way to build consensus. I think they want to preserve the issue and want to keep both sides all excited about it in front of the elections.

No, it was the last chance before the next election. Now if the Dem's win the white house it will be a recurring nightmare until it's passed

As long as it by 1 that's all that counts>What there trying to do is show the illegals that if elected in 08 they will give them amnesty & all the freebees> Vote out the amnesty bill sellout supporters>

Surprisingly enough - some of the newly elected Democrats voted for it after they campaigned against illegals. I am shocked!

I think it is time for the people in both houses to hear "We the people"

We should vote out the dead wood as they come for re-election.
