I believe in God and all but sometimes I can't help but to thik what if.... What if there is no God and we are all alone?
I've tried to push these thoughts out of my head but they are always in the back of my mind.
Another thing a little over one year ago my Aunt was 8 months pregnant but something happened and the baby died. Did he go to Hevean? Even though he wasn't born?

If anyone would like to talk my E-mail is: Sauria_ashley@yahoo.com

ledbette...- Thank You for everything you said. I had to stop reading to dry my eyes.
--For the one who said he is in Hell. I'm going to pray for you! How could you say a thing like that? Do you not care how much it hurt when he died even though I never knew him or how much it hurt just reading what you put?

Sauria,

Your aunt's situation is tragic. And I know the guilt and fear you feel over the constant uncertainty. Both are really tough situations.

For you I would say that what you are going through is normal. Faith allows for doubt - it does not allow for certainty. Your intellect will question endlessly what you know in your heart to be true. But your faith in God is like faith in love - you love your aunt and you do not need to see or understand all there is to know about love in order to go on living as if that were true - because you KNOW it is even though you can't explain it to me.

For that poor child your aunt has lost I would say that his spirit was eternal. In the parable of the lost sheep Jesus says that God never wills that a child should perish. We do not fully understand the role of pain in our lives, but we do know that pain is not always from God or anyone beyond this world at all. God hurts with us when a child dies. And His love is found in how people respond to their own and to others' tragedies. When I see how much you care for this baby you did no know and how much you hurt for him and for your aunt I see love. That to me is God. But I can't explain to you why....

Ashley these thoughts are normal, so don't get down on yourself.

Many people will accuse you of being led by the devil or of shunning the lord when you question your beliefs. They say this out of fear and that same feeling that is eating at them.

I suggest not swallowing your doubts, but exploring why you are having them, and truly examining why you believe the things you believe in. It will either strengthen your faith, or change it, but either way the 'what if' questions won't keep nagging at you.

No God does not exist. You cannot have a loving God, who laid waste to cities that were full of sin? And what is sin? Is it not worshipping God - and so God is a nutcase.

Reincarnation happens, we all come back here again. It is what we do. Full stop. Average time is 150 years between lives.

I think it's healthy to question, and anybody who claims not to have ever doubted is lying.

I think the little baby is probably in Heaven with the Lord and the angels.

Satan nags in our minds, self doubt is one of his greatest tools. Getting us to disbelieve his existance was the greatest feat he ever performed. He will use whatever tool he can to steer you away from God. The baby went to heaven. The baby was a innocent.

It's good to question. These thoughts will serve you well in the long run. Don't just push them away.

BTW, great going for posting your e-mail. Know you'll overloaded with e-mails from Christians on having faith.
