My new kitten is 2 mos. old. I just adopted her last week and she's adjusted to her new life really well. She eats, drinks, poops, pees just fine as far as I can tell. My only concern is that she has a big old pot-belly, and is skin and bones everywhere else on her body. When I press on her belly, she doesn't scream in pain, so I assume she's not having digestive problems. Could it be a tapeworm? Or some other kind of sickness?

I agree with the other answers. Very likely worms. Kitty needs to go to the vet and you'll need a fresh stool sample to identify what kind of worms they are.

you will need to take her to the vets anyway to start her annual jabs and to have her fisrt vet check.

Sounds like she has worms the vets will weigh her and prescribe treated for worms.. you will NOT need a stool sample .. the vet will give you a broad spectrum wormer that will cover all types of worms..
(over the counter pet shop wormer just doesn't work.. and kittens are supposed to be wormed at 2 , 5 and 8 weeks old.. then 3 more times in the first year of their life..)

though the pot belly isn't causing problems now it will do if left unchecked ..be warned worms can find there way from the digestive system into the brain and can kill kittens..

You did no longer say the age of the cat, yet take it to the vet and that they might supply you the perfect flea meds and additionally verify her for worms which she maximum probable has. do no longer cope along with her with over the counter flea meds or wormers as they could be very risky and not do the pastime. Take a sprint Vaseline and rub it on the aggravated section. It won't harm her and would help with the discomfort till you get to the vet. with any luck, you may get her in the following day. word. cut back the dry food, upload greater canned food.for now as this could be making her constipated. No fish, no gravies, no organ meats. purely conventional, turkey, chicken or pork cat food.
