Substitute for Shure headphones?

I'm looking for some good earbud headphones because I'm getting sick of my Sony headsets. I don't have enough money to go out and get a pair of Shure earbuds so I'm wondering what the next best thing is that I could possibly afford.

giving us some idea of your budget would help-but i would go for sennheiser-they have never let me down and astounding reproduction to boot-prices from £50-500.
