If giving up your spouse or kids because of (incest, rape, cheating, you name it, etc.) is congruent with God (which it is) then yah, but like the others, I'd try to get money!

Sort of....

I beleive that God would only expect me to do things that are in my best interests... if giving up a spouse and/ or children was in my best interests, then yes... and I already have... in a sense... I've got the exact opposite custody arrangement which many have accused me of "giving up my kids" but I see how it is in THEIR best interests...and MINE and that was done on faith without understanding at the time.

I love what I know as the Divine with all my heart, and I may end up losing husband, kids, who knows. But I don't think any God I know would ask me to give them up for him/her/it. My God doesn't work that way.

Dark Lord Vader...you may have sacrifice the ones you love for your Lord, but God doesnt ask his servants to give up their loved ones.

I would find a different religion. Husband is in the flesh, and kids aren't worth giving up for anybody.

"If I had to?"

What on earth would compel me to do that?

I believe that God gave me, personally, a commandment to love, protect and provide for my family. Anything counter to that, I feel, is against his will.

So, that kinda puts the kibosh on the question...

regards

If I had to? No, I would not, and if this god got near one of my kids or my wife, I would rearrange the configuration of his face with a 2x4. You don't mess with my family, pal.

MissBarcelona has apparently never heard the story of Abraham and Issac.
