Are Corpsman from the Navy considered part of the Marines or part of the Navy? Do they wear the Marine insignia?

well the Marines are considered part of the Navy.

But corspmen wear USN ratings and emblems.

Navy Corpsmen assigned to FMF are entitled to wear the Marine Uniform when on patrol. They are STILL a member of the US Navy however.

IDC's assigned to the FMF are still in the Navy but wear the UoD that the jarheads wear with Navy insignia. They follow their assigned units CoC.

Corpsmen are officially Navy, but report to a Marine platoon and are just as tough, if not tougher as we are.
