These seem like they would be a waste of money to me. I mean do people really think that an atheist will be driving along, see the billboard that says "Jesus Loves You", and then would automatically be converted?
I think it cheapens the church and the religion when it advertises Jesus.
I am agnostic, so it is just a thought.
What are your thoughts?

So, defacing inner most property is 'freedom of speech'? i imagine the police could have a countless opinion if the human beings who did this get stuck. also it ought to enable me to bypass round defacing each and every of the church billboards because I honestly have 'freedom of speech'. Having "lower than God" contained in the pledge adn on the money is a constitutional difficulty, having "lower than God" in there is unconstitutional. Why no longer have "lower than Allah"? It potential in simple terms an similar element apparently. yet vandalism isn't a constitutional difficulty, it really is against the law.

I'm a christian , and I think it is extremely tacky. i always wonder what Jesus would think if he saw something like that. The worse thing I have ever seen, though is that anti-abortion truck that drives around with pictures of aborted fetuses plastered on the truck. That is disgusting, I don't care who you are or what you believe, I don' want to see that. It is obscene.

Yes, but oddly enough, putting up religious billboards counts as "giving to charity", so the corporations that do it get tax write-offs.

The power of advertising.
If advertising doesn't work, why do companies spend so much on it?

I have no use for them. Billbboards that say jesus loves you are pushing something I have absolutly no interest in.
