On board the train, the Conductor is the boss. The train doesn't even move without the Conductor's say-so.
In such a situation, I would thank the passenger for his donation, and ask him to please leave the train. If the passenger did not comply, I would radio the Superintendent and inform him of the situation.
On one such occasion, the police heard the radio message and simply pulled alongside. That was enough for the unruly passenger. He left rather quickly.....

All joking aside. the guy would in all likelihood get positioned off on the subsequent station quit. I say this using fact 2 years in the past on Amtrak i became assitant to a Conductor that positioned somebody off for smoking weed on the prepare. He have been given right into a combat with the conductor, and my spouse and that i who the two do Armed risk-free practices for a residing presented advice. We positioned him off the prepare into the waiting hands of Redding Police branch. this is the different situation. via the time the prepare gets to the subsequent station, the Police are already there waiting for you. it rather is type of like "Nowhere To Run" via Martha Reeves and the Vandellas!

if the conductor is smart, he would just continue his job and call it in so police will be waiting for him at the next stop. The passenger could be charged for simple assault / breach of peace.

In practice, I would expect that the passenger can expect police to be waiting for him at the next station. I know a few people involved with Amtrak. Incidents like this are not taken lightly. They prosecute miscreants like this, and win.

I would make arrangements to have the passenger's lifeless body removed from the train at the first opportunity.

Call the transport police and have them arrested at the next station.
Let everyone know the reason for the delay is because of some dick head.
