Change your diet! My wife and I did and now we both wake up ready to take on the world.
Here is a little of my wife's story. Her name is Zoe. She had a even bigger mood shift than me.
Zoe's Story
"I had constant low moods - although I didn't realise it at the time, because it just felt 'normal' for me to be like that. I didn't know any different, my point of reference was not a happy, healthy one. I was often irritable with the people I loved, for no reason. I had very little energy and always did as little as I could get away with. I also lacked confidence and I could be very shy.
I must say that I feel like a different person. I'm in the best mood I can possibly be in, every day without fail. My mood is so consistent and steady, it has given me huge confidence and security, to know that tomorrow will be the same as today is blooming fantastic!
My self esteem is at a level I have never experienced before. I look to my future with excitement, instead of dread. I wake up every morning happy to be alive and full of energy. This is such a big change for me, I used wake up dreading the day and full of sadness - for no particular reason. For over 15 years, I 'needed' a pot of strong coffee to get myself up out of bed."

I hope this helps!

I usually feel like that too.
First you need to check yourself that you have enough night sleep. And pay attention to your foods. Try more citrus juice, they can really help.
How do you feel like as the day goes by ?
If you feel better in evenings than in the mornings, it can be mild depression. (If it is depression, your conscious mind don't want to consciously aware of a fact or condition, so you feel so upset when you wake up.)You should try to find out what is the fact bothering you.
If your room has a window, just look at the window for a while when you woke up, or you can try radio or music. A shower can help you sometimes too(if you are not already late for work). :P
If you encountering a depression state or you are really stressed, please go seek for help. Talk to your friends or whom you can turn into. There are many people out there who have this kind of problem, believe me, you are not the only one who have this kind of problem.

As long as you have an early night a hot bath and a warm milky drink. You could always listen to a relaxing cd or a good book. I mean on the nights when you have to work or go to colledge ect you will soon get into a routine. L do not wish to be a party pooper enjoy yourself when you do not have to get up. A bit of breakfast with juice or something will set you up for the day. Is your health ok or have you suffered with a cold or something recently.

Maybe you have mild seasonal depression. When the darkness lasts longer, we long for daylight and the benefits it brings. You can buy a UV light to place near your bed and have it turn on automatically about 30 minutes before you want to wake up. Then it's like the sun rose and woke you. It will also help with your mood. You can reseach it online under Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD). I bought one for my husband last Christmas and we both used it through the winter. It does help it you're consistant with it. Good Luck

A good nights sleep is the perfect remedy: it may be an old wifes tale but its true and works.
If you find that hard, dont eat anything heavy before you go to sleep, drink plenty of light fluids i.e water (but not too much that you will be toilet stopping all night, ), and excerceise during the day.
That way you will wake up feeling refreshed, energetic and light.

This is not meant as sarcasm, and it's probably not for you as I am now retired... BUT I start out my day with a Bloody Mary. 2 ounces of bourbon, 6 ounces of V-8 juice, 2 dashes of Texas Pete hot sauce. It puts me in a mellow frame of mind that sometimes lasts all day.

Well, I reckon you sleep in 4 hour cycles. So, whatever time you wake up, try and get to sleep 8 hours before it. Set your alarm for about 10 mins after the end of the second cycle (just in case you don't wake up). As you go to sleep tell yourself to wake up at say 7am (or whatever time you need to). Say it a few times to get it into your head. You will wake before the alarm. Get up straightaway. You'll feel more awake than if you'd been woken by your alarm and you'll have had two full sleep cycles, so you should feel well rested. Try it - I can either wake up at 7am for a normal get up, ot 5.45 to go for a run, as long as I tell myself to!

Read a good book before you sleep - it helps the mind focus on something before relaxing. If your not a budding reader, think about something you really like, like a dream home or the perfect holiday until you nod off. In the morning you should get up feeling awake and happy.

try sleeping a little earlier, that way when u wake up you feel awake, and not having to feel like your dragging yourself out of bed.
Also try tuning into the radio when you get ready. the morning people are usually funny and have good topics to get you laughing, as well as the music... you can enjoy the music while you get ready :)
Hopefully that helps !
