Who is the murderer?

Question

During an unspecified time, a man murders Ashley, a woman that was staying at the Sunrise Apartments. He hits her with a blunt object forcing trauma to the victims head and stabs her in the chest. Afterwards, another girl, Kathy, comes to the scene. In a panic, the murder hits Kathy with the same blunt object and flees the scene. A few minutes later the dish boy, work at the bar across from the apartment, was taking out the trash. He sees the body's and calls the police.

Victim: Ashley Stones
Witness: Kathy Ramos, Adam Stones (The dish washer and also Ashley's boyfriend.)
Suspect: Mike Waters

Who is the murderer, how did it happen?

Kathy’s testimony:
Before I left my apartment I checked my phone and saw that it was 5:30pm. I was on my way to work. I am a security guard. After taking the back exit I turned right, not seeing who could have been behind me, and saw that girl laying there. After a moment, I fished through my cell phone to call the police but then I was hit with something blunt. The only thing that I was able to see before I passed out was that there was in fact 1 person behind me. Also, I smelled a strong stench on alcohol.

There were in fact two sets of finger prints on both weapons. One belonging to Ashley Stones and the other Mike Waters.

Autopsy Report.
Time of death: 5:00
Cause of Death: Hit with a blunt object, forcing trauma to the victims head causing internal bleeding. The victim was stabbed in the back and cocaine found in the victims system but it was not the cause of death.

Murder Weapons:
Fruit Knife
Car battery

The real murderer was no other than Adam Stones. Mike intended to kill Ashley Stones because she didn't pay him his drug money. Adam happened to walk in on them during struggle. Mike waters managed to take Ashley's fruit knife from her. He tried to stab and kill Ashley Stones but missed. Adam then picked up the car battery found in the alley and tried to hit Mike but missed. During this, Mike dropped his knife. Instead he hit his wife. Mike fled the scene but Adam was in shock of hitting his wife. He he went inside and tried to call the police but his boss needed him for something else. Mike came back to see if ensure that she was dead. He saw that Ashley was laying on the ground afraid that she was alive, he stabbed her in the back. Then Kathy came to the scene and saw the body. Mike was afraid that Kathy was a cop because of her clothes so he got the car battery and hit her in the head as well. Adams fingerprints weren't on the weapons because he had his worker gloves on.

*edit* woo i got it right, however i thought that it was something to do with ashley having an affair with mike taking drugs so adam got angry and killed her, then when kathy came he had to kill her aswell. lol

Kathy Ramos. She framed Adam with fingerprints, but forgot when she said testimony and said she smelled alchohol (mike waters)
