I currently own a Haro Mirra Flair but I want to upgrade it now I like my forks and chain and pedals etc but I think my frames a little heavy and so I want to change just the frame is this possible and how would I go about it? Are there any books or sites that can help me to do this and how do I know that the parts I currently have will fit onto my new frame?

here are the major differences between new frames, have you got a pencil next to your viewbox! no, in the left top drawer?
1. your cranks are probably unsealed american bottom bracket! if you get a new frame, look out for a euro BB or a mid-BB
2. the axle size: is it 14mm or 3/8ths? (especially the forks, they have to match your front wheel and the rear triangle, 14?
3. is your pedal a 3/8 inch spindle or a thicker 3-piece crankset that is 1/2 inch pedal spindles?

these are the size specific questions about buying parts for your new frame/kit or parts comp. and is your seatpost oversized?

well it sounds like you don't really have much experience with putting together bikes, and if your not totally sure you can do it, don't. Because i tried one time and my wheel came right off and I ended up with about 40 stitches in my chin. But as far as frames, I would highly recommend the Schwinn Sting. I have a 2005 and it is great. Lighter than any of my friends bikes because of the special aluminum it uses. This is only if you know you love riding BMX, because this is not a cheap frame but it is by far the lightest I've ever riden. As far as installation, take all your parts to a bike shop and you can probally get everything installed for a meer $30. And be careful, everyime i take my bike in they try to juice an extra $20 out of me because they say my 2 week old tires are almost ruined. So be carful with that. Hope this helped. Happy riding. =]
