i'm 23 and have been pulled over twice. tickets for both:
1st time: driving from northern california to southern arizona.... 12 hr drive, after a long day's work, no sleep, driving on I-10 (nothing but desert) and was about 1 1/2 hrs from my destination. i was so ready to be there and there was nobody around... so i got caught for going 108 mph. cops gave me a break and let me go w/ a ticket saying 98, so i wouldn't lose my license right there on the spot- which is the law. speed limit was 75. the ticket was $375... i was about 18 yrs old... sheesh.
2nd time: much less severe, i was going 62 in a 45, on an unheavily traveled back road, in a hurry to get to work. i went to a driving course for this to keep it off my record so my insurance wouldn't go up. i still had to pay court costs and class fees- about $120 total. i was 22 this time.
that's all i've done. but i've slowed down a lot since then, especially now that i have a daughter:)

Oh hell yeah. I have been pulled over about 15 times in my life, and I am 32 years old. I have been driving since I was 19.
I used to have long hair, and cops just adored me (sarcasm!).
Man, I got pulled over and searched for drugs, weapons, stowaways, friggin Mexican 'shrooms, friggin Mexican fightin' bullfrogs, etc.
Boy, were those cops disappointed. I have never even tried illegal drugs once in my life. Ha ha ha.
I don't drink alchohol, either.
I guess they think that they have a "duty" to make snap judgements about people who look guilty or dangerous.
I also used to speed all the time. I have gotten about ten tickets in my life, for the following violations:
1. Speeding
2. Running a red light
3. Getting in the turning lane too early
4. Expired tag
5. No proof of car insurance
and other crap, too.
But NOW, I am indeed a cautious and careful driver. I used to never wear my seatbelt...but now, I do, because my Fiance convinced me of how important my safety is.

I got pulled over for:
a) going 90 mph on the freeway
b) riding around with expired stickers
c) riding around with bald tires
I've also been stopped when walking for looking like a bad guy. The cop wanted to check the contents of my book bag. There were books in it.
