What works well for me is to concentrate on eating natural foods, so fruit, vegies, beans etc things that nature gives us and this should form the bulk of your diet, then add lean protein and whole grains. Also watch your portion sizes and try to eat small serves every 2-3 hours 5 x per day to keep your metabolism up!

If feelings of hunger are your largest concern, try any of the high protein - zero carb diets like Atkins. You can literally eat as much as you want of many foods. The biggest problem is that if you cheat, even a little, it will throw you off and you must start over. If that sounds too strict and you want to include a small amount of carbs, I would go with Zone or South Beach. Both of those allow a lot of snacking as long as it's the right food.

Well, heres just some tips, not neccesarily a diet but yeah:
-Eat only 1 package of microwave meals/frozen meals (whatever you call them) 3 times a day
-For snacks, eat some sort of fruit
-Don't go 5 hours without eating
-Don't eat for 4 hours before going to bed
-Drink LOTS of water
-USE THE BATHROOM (lol people don`t realize that it really makes you thinner)
-TRY to squeeze in some exercise

This is the diet that made me the proud thin girl I am today =D

A good diet is a healthy diet.

Eating lean meats, poultry, fish, vegetables, fruit, low fat dairy products, carbohydrates, potatoes. brown rice and pasta (keep these plain and simple) do not smother them in butter, cheese, sauce etc, non sugary cereals. You can eat to your full on these foods. There is no need to feel hungry.

Not a good diet.

Take away food, ready made meals you buy in the supermarket, biscuits, cakes, sweets, chocolate, alcohol, sugar fizzy drinks. These foods are full of saturated fat, sugar and salt. These all add to those unwanted pounds. These are only OK in MODERATION only.

Exercise works very well with a good diet too.

I like the South Beach diet. I've lost about 30 lbs on it. You get to eat whenever, but you have limited foods that will fill you up and are full of protein.

I think counting calories is lame. Just watch the carb content. It's what worked for me when the low fat diet didn't. I was hungry ALL THE TIME when I was just trying to eat low fat foods.

No 'diet' is actually good because as soon as you deprive your body of calories it will hold on to whatever it has because it doesn't know when it will be fed again. In answer to your question-simply cut out white flour and sugar, rice, pasta, and bread for two weeks, see what happens. I just lost a few pounds in a few weeks this way. It is also healthier to avoid white flour and sugar!

Eat the right amount of servings of fruits and vegetables, dairy, meat, and grain and exercise at least 10-30 minutes everyday. oh and a helpful hint: if you eat a tiny something before a meal, it boosts your metabolism for the meal to come.

All you have to do is keep track of how many calories you eat per day, and work off more than you ate. Simply math.
