It is how the hills are reseeded after a fire. The green you see isn't paint, it's the medium which holds the seed and fertilizer. It's colored green so the person applying it can see where it's been put.

my sister told me why.

i just can't remember

something to do with the fires.

i think she's said it's fertilizer.

i really have got to listen to her more often
