I was once a Christian then I opened my eyes. And by-the-way, Hell is an imaginary abstract place.

As a witch, i cannot really explain why i have such an intimate knowledge of the bible, but when it was being translated into english, 3 words were used that are now all hell:

Sheol: To ask
Translated to hell in Proverbs 30, Genesis, and Samuel

Hades: God of the underworld; resting place of the souls
Translated to hell in 1Peter, Matthew, Luke, Revelation

Gehenna: Directly translates to place of the lost
Used exclusively in Matthew and Luke.

With this, the concept of hell christians have in English is much different than what others would have and their definition of hell as interpretations left many gaps.

As far as salvation, i would consult your holy book and see what the new testament says about it since apparently the old testament is not important anymore.

A sidenote of the old testament word Sheol: it is not used as hell every time it is used...31 times Sheol/hell is translated to grave. This should be some sort of indicator that what is taught is not what is true even in the eyes of a christian.

I guess my obsession with history has shown too many imperfections for christianity, but i can still see no indications of christians losing salvation; in fact there are blood pacts saying you cannot be cast into the lake of fire.

hope that helps God(dess) Bless!

YES. many Christians do not believe it's possible, however there are many Scriptures to back this up. If you turn your back on God and walk away, then you can lose it. The parable of the 10 virgins is such as example. The 5 virgins who were ready for the groom were welcomed in, while the 5 virgins who played around and werent ready, were left out in the cold. "Get away, for I never knew you". This same line is found in Revelation as well. We can't play games with God. Be holy because He is holy. And this is possible through a relationship with Christ.

Yes you can lose your salvation.
We're suppose to work out our salvation with fear & trembling. No one can pluck you from God's hand. But you can chose to walk away.
Your name can be erased/blotted out from the Book Of Life.Revelation 3:4-6
Do your first works over as you've lost your first love.Revelation 2:4-5
Once saved always saved Is a lie from satan. Don't fall for this.

No, Ephesisans 2:8,9 show that one does nothing obtain salvation other then repent, Jesus also said that his father gives people to him in salvation, and nobody can remove that person from His hand, also, there is no sin that you can do in the present to lose salvation, after all, when Christ died on the cross it was before you committed that sin. Christ is infinite, therefore His salvation is infinite.

Yes, because even tho you have accepted Christ as your Savior and His gift of free will, you can reject it and walk away from it at anytime. If you continue in sin and do not ask for forgiveness or repent, you are in fact rejecting the gift. Salvation is an on going process, not just a one time acceptance.

"As the Bible says, I am already saved (Rom. 8:24, Eph. 2:5–8), but I’m also being saved (1 Cor. 1:8, 2 Cor. 2:15, Phil. 2:12), and I have the hope that I will be saved (Rom. 5:9–10, 1 Cor. 3:12–15). Like the apostle Paul I am working out my salvation in fear and trembling (Phil. 2:12), with hopeful confidence in the promises of Christ (Rom. 5:2, 2 Tim. 2:11–13)."

Some people believe so.

I dont know. The bible says the even the righteous will SCARCELY make it to heaven. So, reallly i think you are supposed to live the most godly, christian life that you can and just pray that you make it in.

How Can I Know If God Has Saved Me?

This question gets to the essence of what life is all about. God tells us everything we need to know with regard to His salvation plan for mankind in His Book, the Bible, and God explains that assurance of our salvation is indeed possible: 1 John 5:11-13 “And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life. These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.”

We must realize that God does ALL the work of salvation. The Bible teaches that we cannot save ourselves. No church, no religious ritual, no person, and no human effort can save us. Only the work done by the Lord Jesus Christ at the cross and by the Holy Spirit in our hearts can save us. Believing, or having “faith”, in the Lord Jesus Christ is the result of salvation – not the cause of it.

If God has already saved you from eternal damnation, He has put His Spirit within you and resurrected your soul (that is, you became a new creature in Christ); and your spiritual war with God has ended, as God stated in the following verses: Ezekiel 36:26-27 “A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh. And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.” 2 Corinthians 5:17 “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.” Romans 5:10 “For if, when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life.”

In other words: If God has saved you from Hell, the Lord Jesus Christ paid for ALL of your sins with His life so that you now have eternal life, and you made no contribution to your salvation in any way: Titus 3:4-7 “But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; Which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; That being justified by his grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.”

However, if God does not save you before you die or the Lord Jesus Christ returns in judgment, you will spend eternity in Hell under the wrath of God paying for your own sins. In these two verses, God commands us to evaluate our spiritual condition to determine if we truly have received the gift of eternal life based on what the Bible teaches about salvation: 2 Corinthians 13:5 “Examine yourselves, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates?” 2 Peter 1:10 “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”

Yes. Those who think you can't lose salvation usually misinterpret Romans 8, where Paul writes:

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? As it is written: "For your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered." No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Note all the things are mentioned are EXTERNAL circumstances: hardship, persecution, demons, death. In context, Paul is explaining Jesus' teaching in John 10:28:
"I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one can snatch them out of my hand."

However, a person himself can lose salvation by sin. Jesus explained in Luke 21:16-18 (and elsewhere): "You will be betrayed even by parents, brothers, relatives and friends, and they will put some of you to death. All men will hate you because of me. But not a hair of your head will perish. By standing firm you will gain life."

Standing firm may mean being put to death, which is why Paul wrote (Philippians 2:12-13), "Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose."

Cheers,
Bruce

All these words like salvation, sin, hell, heaven were coined by the religious leaders as rewards and threats to keep their flocks together.- the carrot and stick policy.
