And now that Halloween is near....everyone in the office keeps on bringing in chocolate....I can't stop eating it!!! How can I stop? I am not overweight, but fear if this keeps up, I'm going to start gaining!

Since you love chocolate like me why not splurge in some healthier chocolatey treats!!! Try these:
~ 45 calorie sugar free fugcicles
~ a small handful of Hershey's kisses
~ sugar free chocolate pudding
~ 1 chocolate covered strawberry or banana
~ 1 dark chocolate bar
~ 1-2 fun size chocolate bars
~ 1 tootsie roll pop( takes longer to eat and keeps your mouth busy!!)

I think what you should do is just eat it in moderation and cut down the portion sizes rather than cut it out altogether, how about you set yourself goals like doing some work or a chore that requires movement or concentration (not to stress yourself out though) and then once you have completed this have a fruit and then later on in the day a small piece of chocolate that way you are balancing out the values. Also try starting your day on a good meal for breakfast that way it will take over the 'urge' for something sweet. But remember just cut down or break the chocolate into pieces and gradually you should feel better and you may even give it up for a while.

OH NO!!!
I just bought a 6 pack of Milky Ways this morning and just ate one. Next it will be an Oreo Cakester and later a KitKat.
I can eat more, too. The chocolate season is here with Halloween, Christmas (that lasts a whole month of chocolate).
I am overweight and it don't help to be addicted!

try some chocolate flavored rice cakes. you get the flavor and they are a bit healthier than eating just chocolate. although i have read that the darker chocolates with higher % of cocoa can be good for you.
if you can brush your teeth or eat or drink something minty after having a piece of chocolate you may not want to indulge in any more pieces.
also, just burn those calories! do a few laps around the office, park further away in the lot, take the stairs instead of the elevator. chocolate *is* yummy. just balance it out!
good luck :)

Sounds like me...I have tried to designate one day a week when I can eat chocolate, which made me look forward to that day. However it only worked for me for 2 weeks...hehe
I also tried to buy just real dark chocolate which I don't like at all, that seems to work, it grosses me out and I'm good for a long while.
Good luck!

GREAT QUESTION! I am too a chocoholic! LOL! Try not keeping it or any other sweets in the house. Most of the time, we crave it at night. If you have the urge at 10pm and it is not in your cabinet or candy dish, 9 times out of 10, YOU WILL NOT GO GET IT! EVERYTHING IN MODERATION!!

Let me sell you my "chocoholic" tape. only $19.95. I will send you a 6-inch strip of duct tape. Put it over your mouth, and the Snickers can't get in!

Self control. Since it's seasonal, just exercise a bit more, and you should be fine.
