Depending upon the cheese but usually on a savory cracker with summer sausage and a glass of Merlot.

Room temperature is best. Examine the cheese look at the color, texture, marbling, etc.. If you are tasting several types, go from mild to strong. Break it open, rub it with your fingers to get a sense of the texture and release the aromas. Sniff deeply to let the scent run over your olfactory nerves and give you the fullest flavor. Take a bite and chew thoroughly so you get the full experience. Think about the flavors and run the cheese over every part of your tongue. Breathe in through your mouth and out through your nose as you chew to bring out every distinct characteristic. Sample the cheese from the center to the rind, even a single wheel can vary slightly.

It's best (more flavorful) to eat at room temperature. Eat it with fruit (such as apple slices), on bread, on crackers...or just put it in your mouth.

eat it, just eat it!
or you could give it a little sniff, twirl it around in the air, let it breathe, and then just slip it in and savor it.
also very good as an accompaniment with just about anything.
