i have wondered the exact same thing... i dont think blind people are driving, maybe its just a law or something that you have to have braille on things or something

The ATMs used for drive thrus can also be installed in walls for walk up traffic, so instead of manufacturing separate models with only the one difference, they just make the one.

They make them the same to save on manufacturing costs.
It's not like the units roll down the assembly line and they say, okay this one's going into a drive-up lane and this one's going in the mall so make sure this one gets smooth buttons and this one gets the braille.
