how often if ever do you get run around answers to question you ask of atheists? can you give me some examples of questions that at least the majority of atheists can't agree on?

miss kimi, i referring to questions asked by believers, not by atheists. most atheists probably rest on the idea that things such as suffering are just a natural part of life. people die all the time. it's not because god is testing someone. it's just life.

whitehorse, no. i'm saying that when people think logically, there's usually a very good reason for why things happen. is it fair to say that if everyone adds two plus two and gets four, they're mindless? no. they're being logical.

Because atheists generally agree on a subject is indicative of what? Possibly they're incapable of independent thought? Maybe they're just parroting one another? I have gotten the run around on many occasions too numerous to mention. I'd also like to point out the endless stream of asinine posts that are not relevant to anything. You know, the sexual innuendo about Jesus or does God have sexual organs. I guess this is an example of the highly evolved atheist intellect.

The duty to fulfill the burden of proof always falls on the persecutor (christians trying to discredit ANY other belief system). As for someone giving a runaround answer, WHO CARES!!! The believe in not believing until there is adequate proof. Is that so different from what other apply to every part of their lives except religion? If someone told you there was was a building flying above the city would you believe them? Why or why not? is it because it has no proof and youve never heard of that kind of thing happening? If someone chooses to use religion as a crutch to get them through everyday life, so be it. The fact that someone gets through the day without that tool shouldn't be cause for discrimination either.

Are you saying you guys are like a mindless cult where nobody thinks for themselves but just follows the opinions of everybody else? Sounds like what you accuse the religious followers of...
*edit: When dealing with simple things like basic math that might work, but clearly there are many differences for instance with respect to the scientific opinions offered to explain the mysteries of the universe. The believer knows that there is a limit to his own ability to reason, and therefore trusts God. And as he does, God reveals mysteries to him.

Speaking as an atheist many of the questions people 'think' they're getting the run around on are in the category of "have you stopped beating your wife'.
They often begin with assumptions like "If atheists think evil is so good..." or "Why do all atheists..."

I'm confused on why everyone is trying to prove everyone else wrong? Why are Atheist trying to prove Christians wrong and why are Christians trying to prove Atheist wrong? Why can we all just agree to disagree and ask intuitive questions which might be gnawing us about someone of a different faith (or lack thereof), rather than auguring all the time about who's right and who's wrong? No one's right, no one's wrong...shesh...

I am a proud christian who often comes across the debate of...
why God "allows" so much pain in this world...esp if he is supossed to love us
i usually mention something about how [[whoever posted it]] shouldn't be asking a question if they don't want to hear the answer...hence, don't be stubborn and learn how to accept things, even if u don't like what you're hearing

I don't think they have agreed upon dogma or "club rules" like Christians, so why shouldn't their answers and viewpoints differ?
They all seem to have the same theme to me, just a lot of variations.

Interesting.
Would love to see these responses.
We don't believe in God because of a lack of evidence, I think we all agree on that.

You know, right now, I draw a Blank, I am sure there is but at this moment I can't think of anything, not to say that I can't research and come up with something, just not really in the mood for that.
