If we think that there's no God or our Creator than isn't that same as saying we created Ourselves? Isn't that same as saying we are God? Therefore it's the EGOtistical mentality of atheist I see in them. I believe our Creator gave us free will to believe and if we don't then our Creator would just leave us alone like a child who ran away from home. Because the child thinks he/she can do without his parents. Right?

Your logic is flawed...how does it follow that if God didn't create us then we created ourselves? There are multiple other ways that mankind could have arrived on this planet. It could be the spaghetti monster and his gang of pirates...or here's a really wild one you might have heard of...maybe we are the product of evolution? The point is that there are any number of explanations other than yours and unless an atheist is posing the view that they themselves personally created mankind, these views are no more egotistical than your assumption that you know how we came into being.

Would I be right in thinking that the idea that you're a species of ape revolts you?

Or that the creator of the universe has a special plan for you?

Or that you're so special, you deserved full human rights from the second you were conceived?

So who has the ego here?

Not really, there are no Atheists who claim to have supernatural powers, unlike your God.

What truly is Egocentric, is the belief that God made you special with a purpose, while children are starving in 3rd world countries.

God loves me because I was born in the US or in Western Society, but clearly doesn't love kids in Darfur because they are starving to death.

THATS egocentric.

No, saying we weren't created is not the same as that.
I don't think you understand much of this world, and I think you're that way intentionally. I don't think I'll respond further because you closed your mind to any comment other than those which reaffirm your misplaced belief.

No, it's not the same as saying we created ourselves. Many don't believe we were created at all- but that we evolved. That's not ego, that's science and observation. It's not like I personally take credit for my advanced circulatory system.

Whatever makes you feel better.

Claiming that I was not created by a supernatural being is not the same as saying that I created myself. You're jumping to some pretty far-fetched conclusions.

When a household is destructive, violent, messy and evil then it's probably best for a kid to run far away from "home" and make a new home for him-/herself. A place to be happy and safe. A real home.

Why do we have to believe that we were created? It's called evolution. And how can people who don't believe in any god think that they're God?

I completely disagree.

If a god wants you to believe in it, it is that god's job to go and seek you out.

We do not consider a person a parent who abandons the child and has no part in its life, do we?
