No I dont think there should be. Gordan is still going to win, but the road course would throw everything off and well..they suck to watch on TV

Yes, there should be a road course race in the Chase. Road Racing is where real racing talent shows through. Being able to wheel a stock car around 7 or so different corners that are nothing alike, then trying to find the perfect spot to set up a pass on another car, it takes a lot. The drivers cannot mess up one corner or it will throw their rhythm off for the whole lap.
Besides that, there are so many tracks that are alike in the chase right now. You have Atlanta, Texas and Lowe's and to top it off they're all in a row on the schedule. I know from a drivers standpoint those tracks differ from one another as for driving lines, but to the eye they look almost the same. I would love to see one of them open a spot up to another road race.

Nope, why just like the cup driver should not be in the Busch series it gives certain drivers a little advantage for the cup race! There are a couple of chase contenders who are better at road course than others! No road course races in the chase!!!

I think they should have a road course race during the chase. It would shake things up a bit. I would also like to see them race at bristol and Daytona during the chase. That would really mix things up and probably make the chase a bit more exciting. I think the FINALE should be at Daytona. That would be awesome. Start with the Daytona 500 and end with the Pepsi 400...

No one loses a race. Neither Daytona nor Indy is in the Chase. Watkins Glen or Sonoma would have to switch a date with another race. I would be in favor of that. You would then have a road course, a short track, and a super speedway (Talladega) to go with the mile and mile and half tracks which dominate the Chase.

Of course...there is a representative of every other type track in the chase, it's only fair that the road course gets in the chase as well. It shows true driving ability, and those who are the great drivers will rise to the top. Is that not what the chase is supposed to be all about?

...No because it is so hard to pass that the race would really be more of who qualified the best. Tracks in the chase needs to be ones that everyone has a good chance on improving setups and being able to gain positions. Too hard to do on a road course.

I think there should be 1 road course race in the Chase. Out West in Sonoma Cal. And Drop of the Oval race in California it never sells out anyway. Also it would still be warm enough in the fall of the year out there!!!!

Most definitely YES. If you use 2 road courses to determine who gets in the chase you need one IN it to help determine the overall champion. I would take one of the Pocono races away to make room for it and get Homestead out of the chase. I would like to see the last race at Atlanta or Texas, both are fast and exciting tracks.

yes....the 24 isn't going to race 4ever and it is a hard race and lets face it only the great drivers win them or even finish up front. sometimes a fuel mileage race comes into play but 90% of the time a past champion or a well known good driver wins...Only robby gordon wins only on road courses but most ppl who can win on road courses can win on any track....racing for a championship is still about crowning the best driver for that year..not a water down luck fiest at the end......

No.
Road course strategy and track position should not figure in an oval racing championship PERIOD.
Putting stock cars on a road course when a Cup is on the line instead of a few lousy points is only asking for trouble as rough driving would be prevalent. There would be so many cars off course there wouldn't be much racing anyway.
Just look back to Watkins Glen when both Gordon and Stewart spun without pressure.
The two annual points paying ringer filled "exhibition" races are more than enough.
I'd rather see a half mile dirt track race but that won't ever happen either.
