Rabies is spread through contact with bodily fluids, ie blood, saliva, mucus. If you think you may have been exposed to rabies, you should seek medical attention immediately. There is no cure for rabies and there is only a 36 hour window to give the preventative shots. Once that time is passed, you then die a horrible, excruciatingly painful death. Not joking, rabies is always 100% fatal.

Rabies can be transmitted through contact with infected saliva.
It is highly unlikely that the dog is rabid, or that you would contract it that way.

If the dog is alive 10 days after contact, you should be fine. Vaccinate the dog so this is not a concern again!!!!!

since rabies paralyzes the muscles used to swallow this is a very unlikely scenario because a rabid dog can't eat!
Saliva in a CUT or open wound can transmit rabies but otherwise not likely

I highly doubt you'd be close enough to a rabid dog to share a plate & not get attacked.

I would say it is possible. If this happened I would see your doctor.
