Go for the higher mAh ratings they hold more charge.

I usually buy 2500mAh - Sony or Energizer

The best rechargeable batteries I know are from the ANSMANN brand -- German made.. Charges well and lasts longer too.

Don't use Sanyo -- Doesn't last at all. Used mine 4-5 times only then it won't charge properly anymore..

Or for automobiles, lead/acid.

For professional flashes, sealed lead acid.
