its a perfect circle and it has a gooey sore right in the middle of it does anyone have any ideas or soemthing that could be useful

Sorry sounds like a tumor, failing that his anal glands are blocked and you will need to help him unblock them.

It sounds like your dogs anal gland/sac became impacted and "exploded". It is common. The glands have contents in them that are supposed to be thin, but sometimes the stuff can get thick like peanut butter and swell until the gland actually pops open. For whatever reason your dog has not been able to express himself. My cat had this EXACT same problem. The area can get easily infected so clean it with some peroxide and call the vet for a script of antibiotics. You might even need to take him in for a good cleaning by the vet. My cat was put on an oral antibiotic, plus a cream to apply to the area. To prevent this from happening again you will need to squeeze his glands yourself or take him to the vet or groomers.
