i'm planning to build the following wheelset.
want to know how heavy is it. can someone calculate for me?
rim - syncros ds23 (440g per rim)
hub - 08 shimano deore XT (QR type. not sure about its weight)
spokes - 64 x DT swiss competition black

Punch all of your components into the spoke calculator at the DT Swiss website and it'll give you an accurate weight of the complete wheel at the bottom of the page. (you can sign in as an anonymous user, it's a free site)

A good way to know for certain is buying a cheap postal scale. I got an electronic one for $20 off of EBay and weigh anything and everything with it.

I don't know, probably around 2 Kg more or less. It sounds pretty solid.
