Hi,
I was my hair with shampoo and condition.
My mum says I shouldn't use conditioner everytime because it makes my hair dull.

Can you suggest a good shampoo&conditioner for dull/greasy/frizzy hair.

Thanks.

also, how can my roots be greasy if i only condition from ears down?

Yes hunny i have stopped using cxonditioner now as my hair is bedium length and getting longer and yes i didnt use it the other day and my hair looks much more nicer and volume! I dont like the weighing down either. I used a shampoo for greasy hair tho so it had a very condition feel to it. I blow dried it after and it looked amazing without the weight down on it. I recommend not using conditioner as much as you'll find its less greay. Even usuing it on the roots weighs it down as i dont like it anymore. I love the body to it now as i got the cut for it. Dont use shampoo and conditioner in 1 as it has 2 be used on the roots and thats where the damage start so avoid any product on your scalf. So use either a very light conditioner or no conditioner but shampoo for greasy hair as i found it works better

I have the exact same type of hair. Your roots are greasy because you are probably olive complected and have oily skin. I bet your face breaks out if you don't keep the roots clean. For me; I use Paul Mitchell products, but that still doesn't solve the root problem. It sounds like you must have some type of color or something on your hair or you wouldn't be having the problem with your roots. When my roots start to grow out the only thing I can do and recommend you do is put a few streaks in, just up in the root area, or recolor your hair again. Nothing takes away the grease like a little color. Does not have to be drastic. It not only gives you a fresh look but stops the greasy root syndrome.

I would NOT recommend not using conditioner on a daily basis. If you you aren't washing your hair every day it is better for it to not use conditioner, but if you put shampoo in your hair, you really should follow it up with a conditioner. If you don't wash your hair every day...(which IS better for it) do not put conditioner in it, and follow showers with a light detangling spray/leave in conditioner. That way you won't damage your hair dragging a brush through it without having something to smooth it out. Just be sure to use a lightweight conditioner, otherwise it will weigh your hair down. Try looking for a conditioner for THICK HAIR...it is lighter than others.
Biolage is INCREDIBLE...I use it. It is slightly more expensive than the cheaper store bought brands but you don't have to use nearly as much so it last longer.

You should use conditioner every time you wash, but don't wash your hair every day because that stimulates oil production. Cut down to every other day, and then every few days -- at first your hair will feel greasier than usual because it's used to producing more oil, but after a while you'll notice a big improvement.

It's shampoo, not conditioner, that makes your hair greasy, because it strips the natural oils (good and bad) so your scalp starts working overtime to make more.

Everyone says that you shouldn't use conditioner every day, but shampoo every day. Actually, you are supposed to use conditioner every day (quarter-sized amount, FOR YOUR HAIR TYPE) and shampoo every other day, or for curly hair, 2-3 times per week. This is because shampoo can strip your hair of natural oils; conditioner hydrates your hair and softens it up. If you use a quarter-sized amount of conditioner and it's making your hair oily, then it's not the right product for your hair.

hi . use shampoo and conditioner for normal hair.. not anything with citrus in it.use the water you wash your hair in as hot as you can then after washing and conditioning let the water run cool and this will help close down the pores and hair shaft. i had this problem i now use simple shampoo and Avon's kids coconut conditioner and my hair is far less greasy than when i used shampoo for greasy hair . i hope this helps xx p.s i do condition every wash .

You should always use conditioner after every shampoo. Shampoo strips your hair of the oil, the conditioner enables hair/scalp to balance moisture. Loreal products are quiet good.

I wash my hair every day and use conditioner only on the ends- using it all over weighs the hair down.
