When I watch TV or movies..etc, and someone is being strangled, I feel like I am being strangled too. I start feeling pressure on my throat and I have to turn away. It even happens when I see a drawing of someone being strangled. Am I crazy or is there something wrong with my throat? help!

I don't think you are crazy. Maybe you just have a phobia of getting strangled- which is understandable! I get into movies too. When there are scenes about people going underwater- I hold my breath. The other day I saw someone getting oil pored into their mouth in a movie, and I actually spit on my shirt I got so into it!! Talk about embarrassing....

I definitly think you have a phobia of being strangled. If you feel that you are unable to manage on your on, see a therapist to talk you through this. That sounds horrible to feel like your gettign strangled if yuos ee that on TV.

I think you are empathizing with the victim in the movie. You are putting yourself in their place. I get that way when I watch movies of people holding their breath underwater. I have to turn away because I feel like I am suffocating. I don't think it's all that unusual. If it were no one would get scared at horror films!
