Everybody else would have to sign it, too, regardless of religion. Then everybody would still go ahead and do whatever they want for worshipping, etcetera, but you would sign something saying all Relgions, including Islam, are equally true with Christianity. Muslems would sign it, too, saying they officially recognize that Christianity is equally true with Islam.

I'm not saying it's plausible--but if it was, and we knew 100% for sure that it would cause world wide peace, would you be willing to put your own beliefs aside just to sign this one official document. It wouldn't mean you didn't still love Baby Jesus.

No, I would not sign it. And for your information Jesus grew up to become a man. Only the Anti-Christ would ask for us to sign such a document and also claim 'World Peace' Any Christian knows that!

I don't know. It would be a lie for me to sign that and it wouldn't cause world peace anyways. People would just find something else to kill each other over (like, say, oil....)

It would be like the ancient Christians who were brought before Caesar. All they had to do was say "Caesar is God and there is no other" and burn some incense, and then they were free to go (and they could probably still be a Christian afterwards). Most of them chose to die rather than say that.

I probably wouldn't sign. And I bet this makes you happy because now you can point at me and say "Wow, what a selfish cow! Christians are horrible!" I don't know that I could explain the reason for this decision in a way that would make sense to you. But for me it would be like burning incense to Caesar. I can't do it.

PS - that doesn't mean that I don't want world peace. I really DO want it. But I also don't think that compromising my beliefs is the way to get it.

For one I know there is a lot of BS in so called Christianity but true Christianity is not religion but a relationship with Jesus the creator of all things.

The other thing is that He (not a religious system) is the only way to the Father (or heaven) - John 14:6 & Acts 4:12.

I admire your goal: world peace.

Unfortunately, the big 3 (Judaism, Christianity, Islam) are diametrically opposed. Meaning, no one from those faiths could sign that document and maintain their belief system at the same time. Therefore, no one can sign it.

No one would sacrifice their "eternal life" for the 100% guaranteed world peace your contract provides for. A short term gain for a long term (eternal) loss. Not going to happen.

This doesn't mean we shoudn't all strive for peace and attempt to live at peace with one another...just doesn't make it easy.

What will really keep you up at night....the "god" of all three are the same God!!!! The Big 3 just have different ways of worshipping Him, defining Him, loving Him, and ultimately, getting to Heaven. Whew, good thing He is in control, not us.

No. One religion will never bring peace. Every religion that has started out as one, has eventually split into many differing factions. e.g. Christianity: Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant etc. Judaism: Orthodox, Ultra-Orthodox, Reformed, Conservative Islam: Sunni, Shia, Wahabi, Sufi etc. Hindu: Shivaite, Vishnaites, Hare Krishna and a million others. Buddhist: Theravada, Vajrayana, Mahayana, Shingon, Nichiren, and a myriad of others. The only God I believe in is Love. If the State ever said, "We only believe in Love", then I would be compelled to join. But I would not join any man-made religious institution.

No. All religions are not equally true. Islam says Islam is true and all other religions are false. Christianity says that Jesus Christ is the only way to God. Judahism says that Judahism is true and all other religions are false. These three religions say that there is only 1 god. Some religions say that there are many gods. There is no logical way for all of these religions to be true.

Not on my life. Signing this document would bring about a sort of one world religion. This is actually prophesied in Revelations as one of the harbingers of the tribulation period. This would not cause world peace by the way. World peace will not be realized until Christ's millenial kingodom following the great tribulation.

No sorry but I couldn't lie or put my beliefs aside. How could I say, 'I love you God' one minute and the next say 'oh but for the next few minutes I'm going to pretend you don't exist and sign a document that says that religions that hate you and don't even acknowledge that you are God are actually true'.

No, because it is a lie. All are not equal. It is only through Jesus Christ that salvation is found. True world peace will only come when He returns and rules the nations.

I would have to do what Jesus Commands:
Luke 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
45 Then opened he their understanding, that they might understand the scriptures,
46 And said unto them, Thus it is written, and thus it behoved Christ to suffer, and to rise from the dead the third day:
47 And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.
48 And ye are witnesses of these things.
49 And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high.

I AM HIS WITNESS OF THESE THINGS WRITTEN IN THE SCRIPTURE.
