Every sin is equal. And everyone sins. It's inevitable. Of course sinning is a bad thing--but it is also a personal choice. The only person who can tell you what to and what not to do is yourself.

You know the answer to this: no. Don't try to validate your sinful actions by stating that they are in moderation, because moderation is in the Eye of the Beholder. That's not to say you can't or won't be forgiven for moderate sinning, though!

It sure is. Some do it more than just "in moderation"....
The point is, no one is perfect and we all make mistakes..that includes sinning. It's basically human nature....

The question is, how dedicated are you to your salvation? It's like dieting. If you tell yourself it's ok to have ONE doughnut before work every day, it will take you a lot longer to reach your target weight.
Our goal as believers, is to become Christ-like and move closer to God. Every single sin delays that goal.
Are you sure you have the time?

It depends.
If you define 'sin' as eating pork, it's okay to do it in moderation.
However, if you're talking about hurting people, the answer is 'no.'
That's why the whole concept of 'sin' is ridiculous. There are things that are wrong, and that has NOTHING to do with religious dogma. I've met lots of 'religious' Jews, Christians and Muslims who think nothing of harming people with words or actions, yet consider themselves 'sinless' or 'holy' because they follow some arcane rule about diet or church attendance or praying on cue. Ridiculous!

I dont know if a sin can be defined with moderation or excessiveness.
It is however a sin to do anything in excess.

I guess it depends upon what you consider sinning. Catholics (even priests) have no problem with drinking like fish while some Muslim wouldn't let a drop of alcohol touch his lips. Non Jews enjoy pork but not Jews. I guess if you do it without guilt, then it's not sinning. If you feel guilty, don't do it or change religions.

definitely! if you were just good all the time, you'd see the difference between good and better (and best) as a big difference. because that'd be all you'd know. so you'd think you're sometimes good and sometimes bad. just like you do when you really sin. so being a sinner sometimes keeps you in touch with reality of your actions.
you just need a bigger reference frame. but don't forget: do it in moderation!

"What then? Shall we sin because we are not under law but under grace? Certainly not!" (Romans 6:15)
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 6:23)
"What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live any longer in it?" (Romans 6:1)
