In the end, he was surely reunited with his first family (in heaven)...but more importantly, he learned through his trials true righteousness - so that he could "see" God! As he said, "My ears had heard of you but now my eyes have seen you." (Job 42:5). In heaven, who can put a price on such a thing?

I hate to tell you this, but my life is almost an exact duplicate of Jobs. And I am blessed, I feel blessed, I KNOW I'm blessed. And let me tell you one other thing - I AM HAPPY TOO!
Of course Job had love and a desire to be with his first family, but he was able to make a new one. I can truly understand this. The new family didn't remove his memory nor fondness and probably longing for his first family. It's called making lemonade out of lemons.
Job received double what he had before. Read the last two chapters again. Note how Job got double of everything except for his family - the reason for this is that his first family would be in heaven with him along with his second. This is the only way to reconcile God doubling everything - both families would be there with him in Heaven later.
Not a consolation prize. Job and his strife was a testament to the Glory of God. Sometimes people can have a very bad life in many ways, but if they keep their faith, then they bring glory to God.
I think you focus too much on attempting to contrast Jobs blessings with the trials he faced. I forgo my instant gratification desires and live happier because I am certain that it is temporary. My joy is something I control. Not God.

God give Job double of every things
but for his sons and daughters God give him the same 7 and 3
that prove the soul not die
and also prove the animals not have spirit.
and Satan toke a lesson from Job to not involve in the God work.
Job make Satan lose the gamble with God .

There are plenty of people in this world today that are experiencing just as many hardships and troubles as Job who are NOT favored by God. Job was blessed with the peace that comes from knowing that he's walking with the One True God.
If nothing else, Job got his name in the most important book of all time. How many people will still know your name thousands of years from now?

He was blessed. If he had not felt blessed, he would have cursed God during the trials of losing everything that he owned. Maybe it wasn't the same, and maybe his original family was what he had preferred, but Job was thankful that God had sparred his life, and gratefully blessed that God had restored unto him everything and more that he had in the first place. Blessings can come in the good times and in the bad times, but they are just easier to accept during the good times (at the same time less noticeable in the good times).

that's when faith that you have in the LORD starts working for you when it seems everything is going wrong in your life you still keep the faith in the LORD all of us suffer in some form or fashion but it is [whom] we depend on that will bring us out smelling like a rose. you can easily get confused thinking the way of the world and lost. but you got to have a spiritual mind in order to listen and hear what the holy spirit has to say of your life he cannot relate to you if you are thinking the way of the world

Job was used as a pawn in a bet between god and satan. I think he had due cause to be annoyed at the shabby treatment.
And to be given replacement children in exchange for the ones that were murdered in the course of the "BET" is disgusting.
So, no, I don't think he was blessed - I think he was s c r e w e d.

If you have faith in God, theres nothing to worry about because God is love, God only provides the best for his people and truely blesses his people
you might have to sacrifice alot in the beginning but within time it will all be worth it because your professing your love towards him and theres a fine line between being "happy" (a time of feeling-only lasts so long) and being "joyful" (a feeling that last like Gods eternal love for us)
God understands us completely he created us
please correct me if i am wrong i am a little tired:)

Satan was actually the one who told Jehovah that if Job had everything taken away from him and become sick that he would curse Jehovah to His very face. His 10 children and his animals and his health taken away, but Job proved Satan wrong because he stayed true to Jehovah and remained loyal and Jehovah blessed him with 10 more children, twice as many animals as he did before, and got his health back.

This is another one of the questions using someone elses suffering in an attempt to justify your rejection of God. Yes Job found happiness with God in everything.
