Daniel 12: 11-13:
11 "From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days. 12 Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
To go with me friend's ΚαταЋσЮs date question.
I've been trying to decipher these scriptures from Daniel for many years. The other day, as I was reading these passages, this came to me:
Daniel says there will be 1290 years from the time the abomination that makes desolate is set up. Then he goes on to say "blessed is he who waits until the 1335 days". When I subtracted these two (1335-1290) I got 45. So if we then take the year the Seven-day War was fought, and Israel once again controlled Jerusalem (a Bibical prophecy--year 1967), and add the 45 days to it, we get 2012, which is the year the Mayan calender ends.
1335-1290=45+1967=2012
I know no one can predict the return of Christ, but I found this quite interesting.

There is a scripture that says that 'a day is as a thousand years, and a thousand years is as day to the Lord'.
This probably still doesn't make the math exactly right, but as I said, I just find it interesting.

you're doing good, but i still think ''one day is as though a thousand years'' is meant to mean ''one day is as though an immeasurable, uncertain, unspecified amount of time.'' in other words. one day to God could be like a minute to us, or a million years, or a nanosecond, etc. all that being said, i still wouldn't be surprised if you're right. LOL. but you get the point.
if you like this kind of stuff, you should type in ''torah code'' in your search engine, and see what you get. you can find all kinds of mathematical patterns within the torah. i've been stuck trying to figure out why the fibonacci sequence is in there for a while now. it's really interesting stuff.

Really?? Which Natives had an end of the world prophecy? All 500 of our Nations? Don't think so. Anything listed as a "native teaching" is BS & probably new age wannabe stuff. Now if it is associated witha specific Nation or group of Nations, maybe. The only end of the world prophecy with Native ties would be from the Paiute Woovoka and adopted by other plains Nations and it was only end of world for all of you, not us and there were no such signs. Now the Mayans do not have a end of world prophecy. Their calander ends in 2012, just as yours ends every december 31. What makes these two unlikely at this time is the prophecy of the condor and th eagle...this can't happen if the world ends. Also the Algonquin prophecy of the 8th generation that has just started going around. This to can't happen if the end of the world comes.

If the scripture says "1290 days", why did you extrapolate the time period of 1290 years? And why do you conclude that the "abomination of desolation" refers to the 7-day war? Most Biblical prophecies are so vague that virtually any major event can be shaped to fit them (remember how the Y2K bug was supposed to wipe out every computer in the world, throwing the global economy into chaos, ruining every greedy corporate CEO, supposedly fulfilling Revelation 6:15-17?). And besides, if/when the world fails to end in 2012, someone will simply juggle the numbers again and invent a new "end-times" expiration date.

Well Frenzy I don't know for sure either . But if it is 2012 then that means we are already 2 years into the great tribulation and that does not seem to be the case. Now also if the pre- tribulation rapture is true( which I do not believe in) then that also discounts 2012 because the church would be gone before the tribulation starts and it is not gone. Now with that said there could be and probably are errors in both dating systems and most certainly there has been much controversy about our present date . It is probably accurate with in plus or minus 4 or 5 years . Therefore the end could be very near and I think it is. 2 Sundays ago our Pastor was teaching on Matthew 24 and his guess is that "Jesus will return in less than 20 years" The next day John Hagee was on the Glen beck show on CNN and he said" we will be lucky to make it 20 years." I agree with you and them that it is close. Jesus said that when you see certain things happening that the end is near....
And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines, and pestilences, and earthquakes, in divers places. All these are the beginning of sorrows. Matthew 24:6-8
So look up sister , your redemption draweth nigh!

You are swapping years and days to make the numbers fit.
1290 days from the end of the Six day war on June 10th 1967 is December 21st 1970.
The 1335 days ends 45 days later on Feb 4th 1971.
I did not notice anything happening then, but I was only 6 at the time, so I might have missed it.
There are enough numbers and 'meanings' in the bible, and enough calenders and 'significant' dates flying around that you can shoehorn in almost any prediction you want.

Armageddon is the last great battle between good and evil, before the Day of Judgment. I would say that all of us agree that there has and continues to be a battle between good and evil. It is only logical, to the western world mind, that this battle may reach a crescendo before a final judgment. Those that have reached a certain level of spiritual vibration will transcend with the planet as it also goes through this transition. The planet Earth is evolving to become a place for higher spiritual vibration, less than positive entities will not and cannot survive on the new higher dimensional plane.

I don't understand why you take 1335 "Days" and substract 1290 "Years"? Maybe I am missing something, but earlier you say from Daniel it says 1290 "Days", then later you say "Years". Is there a reason why you have converted days to years?

I'd say that you were off a bit. Sacrifices were stopped in 70 CE so the date would be 1405 CE (1335 + 70). In other words to arbitrarily chose the 7 day war as a reference date is kind of like choosing your data to prove your point.

I'm waiting in anticipation. If any species deserves to be eradicted from the face of the earth, it is the human species.
Which reminds me, that I only have 4 years to finish my book.
