That is totally absurd! After all the years they have fostered, they choose THAT as a reason to call someone an unsuitable foster parent? That is ridiculous!
I wonder why this child was fostered in the first place - maybe their birth parents didn't teach them how greasy a Big Mac is ...
What is this world coming to? It's disgusting!

Unbelievable! What will they come up with next!
If a child is taken out of a loving home, and maybe the only loving home he will ever know, just because the "parents" are not going to teach him about homosexuality, then they should also remove children from homes where the parents don't teach them about sex.
This is just ridiculous! It's not like this couple is going to be solely responsible for teaching the boy everything he needs to know, otherwise he wouldn't be attending school (which I am sure he is). Let the school system talk about homosexuality if they want to, but I believe it should be against the law to remove a child simply because the parents aren't going to teach the child about being gay.
Being politically correct should have nothing to do with teaching a child about homosexuality. Political correctness should be limited to what we call certain groups of people. Instead of calling people retarded, for example, we refer to them as mentally challenged because it doesn't sound like we are passing judgment. Does that make sense?
This couple should file a lawsuit against the foster care system and sue the pants off of them for discrimination!

the whole country has gone PC crazy - it's got to be down to the foster parents to bring up the child in a loving and caring situation not for them to be dictated to as to what they must and must not teach the child . He'll find out about the facts of life soon enough !

It's not a good upbringing if his foster parents are bigots, is it? Whatever they may personally feel about the subject, the child has a right to know about the world in which he lives. Homosexuals exist, he needs to know the facts, and leave opinion out of it. What would happen if he was gay? Would his foster parents reject him? Not great parenting, methinks.

By law, you have to teach your foster child about sexuality and religion and let them make their decision about the topic. When you accepted the agreement to be come foster parents this was in the contract, I can guarantee it.

Hmm, this is strange. I think it is important for parents to talk to their children about homosexuality, but forcing them to do it is another thing. It is a tough situation though, because if they end up with a gay child, they obviously aren't going to be good parents for that child.

That is the dumbest thing I've ever seen. I don't believe anyone should sign something like that. That is just wrong. what is wrong with this world? I am tired of people pushing there weird things on people. Good people. I don't think homosexuality should be pushed on children. And IMO that is what they are asking this couple to do.

it would appear that having christian morals, ( ethics or principles in general ) do clash with Labours vision of an equality for all, no matter their sexual orientation in this 21st century democratic society.
which ironically defeats the object of democracy, if they're saying christians are NOT entitled to stand by their bibles!
& threatening christians with (up to ) 7 years in prison for so much as repeating the objection, as it is in bible is nu-labours answer.
all it that will accomplish is to alienate christians even further,
maybe it will take a martyr or two?
incidentally & not too far from the subject, a magistrate who would object to placing foster children with gay parents,
was refused his day in court to fight for what he believed in & was forced to resign.

Unfortunately . part of the criteria is to bring them up in the religion of their parents, Doesn't matter that their parents abused them and were unfit, ( Go figure) Some idiotic bureaucrat wants you to do it. It is also a stipulation in adopting these children. :(
