Just because God knows what you will choose it doesn't change the fact that you get to choose. If God exists outside of time, or in all times simultaneously (my favorite theory with no proof of it whatsoever), then he can know everything without influencing our free will.

It gets even worse when you realize that, if there's a god and he gives us freewill, then he'd know exactly what we'd chose if given the chance, and if he knows THAT, then why should he be surprised when we chose something that he says is "bad" for us, and if it's "bad" for us, why did he create it in the first place for us to chose since, if he's god after all, then he knows we'd chose the "bad" and why would he punish us for doing something he knew we would do in the first place? It seems to me that god is an ENABLER for human beings to commit all sorts of "sinful" acts, knowing in advance that human beings would do this, so he could threaten us with hell!! It sounds a little fishy to me, sort of like what the Fuhrer George Bush does with the War-On-Terror Fear Card.

Maybe we are all game pieces on a Game Board in heaven or some place and all the Real Gods and Goddesses are playing a game called "The Human Game"...

You have free will because you choose too. I don't believe "God" had anything to do with it. It doesn't seem to matter what the issue is (good or bad), for some reason "God" always has to have something to do with it. How about some SELF RESPONSIBILITY. If you can rely on yourself you don't need some figurehead to blame the issues on.

You need ot understand the meaning of free will.
God gave us free will.
To live as we see fit. But its up to us to make theright chioces.
And yes, God does know, what our choices will be. But its up to us to make the right choice.
Thats why he gave us the choice to worship him or not. Its up to us.
He is not going to take us by the hand. Because ,if he did. then we would never learn to make the right choices. Or do whats right.

Free will gives us enough wiggle room to do what we want as far as sugar in our coffee, etc. God's plan can't be modified by mankind, we do not have that kind of control.

This is related very closely to us being made in God's image. We appear to have the ability to "create" but not on the level God has. He has provided us with enough (and only enough) tools to do all of the things that we need to do to live the kind of life we want.

The point of free will and God's plan is not to provide an opportunity to pick it apart, but to attempt to reconcile our place within the plan. A lot of people know their place in the world and gladly accept it. I do. You do not have to. But you are still functioning within that plan - you can't escape it.

Yes, it is very illogical. That also raises the question, if god knows whats going to happen in the future, doesnt that mean our fates are destined, and we dont have free will?

Dont believe in the christian god, you might as well as believe in the "flying spaghetti monster" LOL

your right about that one, only someone who believes in God and understands can answer you on that one, but otherwise it is impossible to answer such a question, some questions have no answers like if God loves us why are ther diseases, famine etc or if God is stronger than the devil why does evil exist? this are questions that just cant be answered by humans

He does know what we will do in our lifetime with that free will. It is up to US to do the right thing. God gave us free will so that we could make our own choices. He wants us to have faith in Him when we are allowed to do whatever we please in this lifetime. He wants to separate those that have Faith from those that do not. He wants us to do the right thing without his control.

Because He knows us better than we know ourselves. Therefore He knows what we are more likely to do before we even do it. That doesn't mean the choice is already made, it just means God knows us well enough to know what choice we are gonna make.
