The logical answer would be that there is no God. The Bible says on several occasions that if you pray for something, you will get it. Ask and you shall receive, right? Even faith the size of a mustard seed can move a mountain. But when a prayer is unanswered, it's usually because of some religious double-speak that rationalizes away the apparent lack of divine intervention. God is attributed with all sorts of minor miracles; curing headaches, sending cancer in to remission, keeping people from getting traffic tickets... all minor and inconsequential details. But will not cure an infant born with a missing arm. I suppose he is testing that infants faith as well. Or her parents need a lesson in belief. But then God helps the neighbor win the lottery or the Colts win the Super Bowl.
I'm not trying to be harsh, but how could anyone worship such a sadistic creature as God?

This question is asked at least 3 times a day, and has been answered many times over. God can heal amputees, and prayers are always answered, but sometimes the answer you get isn't the answer you want. God does not heal everyone that asks, nor does God perform circus tricks. There are prosthetic limbs correct? If you are a believer, then you are healed at some point of your disease, illness, or whatever it may be. Believers are given entrance into Heaven, where there is no suffering, there is no death, there is no disease, and there are not amputees. Things like this happen because of man, not because of God. God allows them to happen, simply because we are sinners. There is disease, amputees, etc. because we are sinners. Who knows what will happen in the future? God created man, and man created the prosthetic limb. Everyone questions God and His plan, yet they fail to understand. Why is all burden put on God when something goes wrong?

What makes you think your life we would be any better,if God did heal you? Would you still worship God?
Or would you let your pride get the best of you.
And would you turn away from God. because you don't feel you need God no more? Think about it.
If you wasn't an amutee. Would you still question it.
Or would you go on with your life? And not giving a second thought about other amutees?
And not give God a second thought?
Why are you so concerned now?
Is it because you can't do the things you used to do?
Or because you feel helpless.

Are you an amputee or are you just asking a stupid question? I had a stroke and God has not healed me. I don't ask these level of questions although I bet I have more reasons to.

Jesus said it depends on how much faith we have. (To walk on water, heal, etc.)
Sometimes we are given disabilities that are there to save our lives or protect us at a later time. I spent decades praying for my disability to go. Boy has it protected my live. Now I thank God for it.
Another thing you might consider is back when the Jews were stuck as slaves in Egypt they stayed close to God. When they were freed by God and Moses most of them decided to worship a fake god they made from their jewelry. When we are handicapped, we are more likely to stay close to God. Slaved by the handicap.

He has and can do anything except sin. Most of the really big miracles happen in third world countries. When someone is healed of aids or another miracle here in the US, the media isn't king on reporting it.

God Allows things like that to happen to explore the persons faith. The rain falls on the just and unjust. We all have our fight. Some fights are stronger because God believes that you can handle it. In James I believe it states that "You will not be tempted beyond what you can bare.

Dear sprcpt,
1. Are you an amputee?
2. Are you looking to know God or mock Him?
I'll answer your question when you answer mine.

Ever heard of St. John of Damascus? Look him up, had his hand cut off, the Lord healed him.

They will all be healed...it's just a matter of timing. The resurrection (with perfect healthy bodies) is already promised, and already made possible through the atonement of Jesus Christ.
