I blame the parents

There should be zero tolerance.....but there should also be a board of some sort who hears complaints or reasons concerning why there was violence in the first place.

Putting children out of school without hearing what started the violence is like putting a band-aid on cancer.

Did you notice that it usually happens in the US? Now, its happened in Canada too but the kids that do it are the ones with access to guns.

Hmm, come to think of it thats the ones that do it in the US too.

Do you think that your anti-gun-legislation might be a problem? Gee I wonder.

Or maybe its that parents aren't paying attention to their kids to see the problems that kids are having BEFORE they happen.

That might be a possibility, don't you think?

Toughen up the gun laws by making sure parents need to meet certain criteria (like a lockup for a gun that has only one key and is kept on one of the parents at all times). That might help.

Parents paying more attention to their kids might help too.

As for bully's on the playground, there's always been bully's on the playground ever since school was invented. Since when would that be any different? The difference now is that kids aren't taught to be strong.

Just one of the results of taking prayer and the bible out of the public classrooms. The media promotes violence through movies, TV programing and news reporting of extreme violence, then there are violent video games. Its no wonder some kids freak out and blow up like that under the circumstances.

It is inevitable.

ADD: Considering what a low priority we are putting on the care and welfare of our children and their education I am surprised we do not hear about bigger and longer lasting outbursts of violence in the schools.

These children are our future adults. I am frightened by the way we are making them turn out.

I'm against it.

You might want to be a little more specific.
