i learned so much from my grandparents growing up it would break my heart if my parents and in-laws werent around for my daughter. my grandma always had a way of being gentle and kind when teaching me a life lesson plus there was always someone for me to talk to that was never critical or insensitive to my feelings. life would not have been the same without them.

Grandparents can be good examples (most of the time) and are very good at nurturing. They have worlds of wisdom, too.
I'm sure there are negatives, but why focus on that stuff? Everyone is different, all grandparents are not alike. Some are better than others, obviously.
