Dunno, since I don't indulge. But maybe that's why my older son chews tobacco? Yuck! I did not know that "dope pills" had a taste, although years ago some kind of a sleeping pill tasted metallic. It was like "'ludes" ( I heard) and they took both it and "ludes" off the market.

tobacco and marijuana are both plants...not that far fetched they may taste similar- I've noticed some cigarettes actually smell like joints...which could make for some awkward situations!
