I'm not sure pride is the right word for what you are describing. I am more than happy to worship pray, etc. and I express openly that I am a Christian, but I wouldn't say it was pride exactly. Even if it could be considered pride, I do not think that would be a sin. I think simply pride in yourself (such as that of the devil) is a sin, but not pride in worshipping God.

Because he created you and even your car!! Ofcourse we are proud to worship the king if kings!!! And pride is "deadly" when used in a negative way, don't try to confuse yourself by thinking to hard. And what do you mean "making them mad" If you knew a little bit about God, you would know that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are 3 in 1. So, if you dont even know that, i dont think that you should be asking questions that you dont really know about. Well, God bless!!! Take Care.

There are two different definitions of being proud and pride. The pride that God resist is the attitude of thing that you are just so great and that you can do no wrong. This is different then taking pride in the things you do such as doing something to the best of your abilities.

Basically you are right.
I have been meaning to do a study to see if pride and proud are always the same thing (to say that you take pride in your work I do not see as always meaning sin for being proud, but that you do your work well and it pleases you).

No. Pride in yourself and thinking that we are perfect is a sin, but Jesus Christ was perfect so being proud to have the love of Jesus is not a sin.

Pride is an emotion. Religion is based on emotion.
You can't control what emotions you feel any more than you can control your breathing. You can hold your breath for a while, but that's about it. It's the same with emotions.
Religions take advantage of this fact in promoting their superstition. For example, guilt is widely used as a way of getting converts to fill the pews and empty their pockets. Forbidding the feeling of pride, when that's really impossible, is a good way to instill guilt.
The whole "Jesus loves you" is just another example of this emotional indoctrination. People are emotionally attached to these beliefs, so the reason and logic of it don't really matter.

I've always wondered how people can be proud of believing in something based on faith. That's not an accomplishment, its a mental shortcut. As for the deadly sins, they represent basic emotional states and human behaviors. There's nothing evil about them; in fact, indulging them aids our survival and enjoyment of life.

Pride is one of the "Deadly Sins" if used in the wrong way. A person taking pride in their country or children is fine. The bible says honor thy father and thy mother. God being our father of course it doesnt make them mad that we take pride in that.

Yes pride is a sin. I dont think peopel who worship Jesus and God are prideful or proud however you wish to put it. They are greatful to even be able to because sin has seperated us from God so we are thankful to Him for allowing us to even come to Him with thanks. He has saved us from so many things and so our excitement or the way we express ourselves may seem prideful but you can't tell us anything because we know it was Him who did it.

When you say "proud", don't you mean "honored"?
Do Christians feel honored to worship God and Jesus?
Yes, because we are not worthy to even speak His name, yet in His grace and mercy, he has saved us from our sins and their eternal consequences, so I lift my voice in praise to God for what He has done, even though I only deserve death.
But, if by "proud", you mean that, then you need to answer a question. Where did you get that silly notion from? Don't you know that when you ask silly questions, it makes people think that YOU are silly?
