They hand out brochures that tell kids how to have "safe" homosexual sex, for one thing. They portray it in a positive light and teach students that people who think it is wrong are haters and the enemy. I wouldn't say it is "taught" so much as I would say that the homosexual agenda is being pushed and kids are being conditioned and even encouraged to experiment. And I for one do NOT think that it is the job of the schools to be teaching kids morals and ethics, especially if those morals go against the ones their parents are teaching them. School should be about getting an education, the 3 r's, science and math and history. Not homosexuality and modern philosophies.
Blech, I'm so glad I homeschool.

I would assume that just making kids aware that it exists without all the included condemning of it would make the kids want to go out and be homosexuals. It is this kind of ignorant thinking (that mere exposure to differing viewpoints will pollute the minds of young impressionable kids) make so many Fundies home school their kids in isolation.

I have no idea.....
I would imagine that some people feel it is a choice - and a sinful one at that - so anything other than outright public damning of homosexuality is the same as approving of it - or 'teaching' that it is right.
I know it is rather a strange way to think, but as you can see, plenty of people hold that view.

Sorry, I find it so hard to take people like that (not you) seriously. Then I remember that these people are trying to change laws and school curriculums; I have to take the danger of them seriously.

Schools teach many things in ways you wouldn't believe, I call it brainwashing. But if someone doesn't believe in what the schools teach why send them to public school? Teach them at home, teach them what you believe and hold to be true! This is America right?

I'm actually studying to become a teacher and we have to take a multicultural class to prepare us for a multicultural classroom. So we talk about race, gender, homosexuality, religion, etc. They want us to educate the kids about each...
